This blog is being established so owners of apartments at Brigade Gateway in Bangalore have a forum to air their news and views about the project and their experience dealing with Brigade. Please keep personal attacks out of posts as much as possible, although I appreciate that it will be unavoidable in certain cases. This blog will be moderated (I will review comments for appropriateness before approving it for posting on the blog) and no bad language will be permitted. If you include the name of the apartment block in which you own an apartment, that will provide greater perspective to your comments. Please be objective and factual. I expect that comments will be reviewed for posting at least every 48 hours.
I encourage a vibrant discussion since we are at an inflection point in terms of being able to negotiate with Briagade to positively affect the quality of apartments and amenities being provided by the developer. As the project delivery dates continue to slide, there are multiple issues that are being raised across topics like the quality of fittings and tiles, back up power, association dues, clubhouse privileges, delivery dates and compensation for delays, commitments being made and not kept etc. and this blog will be a repository of these issues.
There is a parallel effort to start a Homeowners Assocation and this blog will complement that initiative.

Brigade Gateway and all under construction Brigade properties are under severe financial pressure. They are trying to do sub standard work and gouge the owners. Many flats have not sold and there are no anchor tenants lined up for the mall. The price list for Gateway is no longer on the site (which probably means Brigade will offer discounts to move sales). As a flat owner in Brigade, I am very worried that my life savings are going to be wasted on a flat that is poor quality.
I strongly echo the feeling of one of the owners. The brigade administration, marketing division is not taking any responsibility and playing with the hard earned earnings of its owners. They do not have the professionalism to at least inform the apartment owners the state of the apartments and the cause of delay and also compensation for their delay.
The web-site no longer updates the photographs and the details of the state of apartments. Neither there is the price, availability and the schedule of handover section now.
I appreciate if all the owners appreciate the same and voice their opinion strongly so that there is some accountability from so called, "A reputed builder"!!!??, which I doubt seeing their work culture, quality of the material and professionalism.
Please spread the BGHOA among all the owners as many are fighting lone battles with the Brigade Gateway.
